TripAdvisor is looking for a Senior Director/General Manager to lead the Vacation Rentals business. The role will own strategy, growth, business operations and oversee the P&L. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and confident decision-maker. The leader will set the tone and culture for a broad organization. The role will be focused on inspiring and developing people and teams to drive revenue and collaboration. Your entrepreneurial spirit and vision in directing business functions will lead key growth and partnerships for TripAdvisor. 


What you’ll do: 


  • Lead the strategic direction and vision of the global Vacation Rentals business This will include long term planning, strategic programs and initiatives.
  • Manage a world class team to excellence, including recruitment, assessment, coaching and development of team members to ensure top performance and future succession at all levels.
  • Evaluate the marketplace to better understand the broad spectrum of consumer product, market and technology trends. 
  • Forecast business opportunities and internal resources required to ensure continued growth and success
  • Partner with Cross function leads to ensure priorities and goals are aligned across TripAdvisor 
  • Influence peers and stakeholders across business
  • Lead definition of annual objectives and translate them into quarterly OKRs with your functional leads
  • Own P&L and build annual budget with the FP&A team
  • Maintain a good understanding of your business through in depth analysis and interaction with data, customers' feedback and insights, and competition benchmarks
  • Work with and lead cross-functional teams to define product specifications, establish milestones, coordinate roadmaps and understand dependencies.
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm. 


What We Seek:

  • 10-15+ years experience in Corporate Strategy, General Management, Ecommerce roles operating within a company or a consulting firm with experience owning a P&L
  • Holistic strategic/business thinking & execution of plans
  • Ability to embrace change & drive change - test and learn culture!
  • Ability to work across teams - Crisp Stakeholder management - Sales, Engineering Product, Operations, Marketing etc
  • An organized, entrepreneurial self-starter; able to identify what needs to get done, then 
  • Passion for the business and our partners
  • Seasoned in managing timelines, delivery, dependencies, communication across teams
  • Analytically comfortable building a strategy and story using large data sets
  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
  • Able to pivot readily and react to real-time data
  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
  • Comfortable in a data-driven business environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills including experience managing high performing teams
  • Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
  • MBA Preferred
