Field Events Specialist (Contract)

What we are looking for:
Brightcove seeks an energetic, detail-oriented Field Events Specialist to support the planning and execution of events for the upcoming season. Reporting to the Field Events Manager, you will assist in delivering exceptional conferences, tradeshows, and hospitality events that support the Digital Marketing business unit goals.
This is a 20-hour per week position, beginning in mid-late July and ending in mid-November.
What you will do here:
- Manage deliverables and timelines for multiple concurrent events, tracking project requests and resources
- Assist with event logistics, including but not limited to booth arrangements, speaker management, content selection, accommodations, staff registration, and shipping
- Research, recommend and select meeting sites and brand experiences that support event goals
- Develop pre- and post-event email copy alongside field events manager and content marketing team
- Serve as a main point of contact for external vendors, including promotional item providers, event venues, and audio/visual companies
- Support creation of pre-event status reports and team trainings as well as post-event briefs
What you will bring here:
- 2-3 years of demonstrated success in event/project management (preferably at a SaaS technology business)
- Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with an innate attention to detail
- Ability to meet and exceed deadlines of multiple ongoing projects
- Willingness to travel if needed, and ability to work independently and autonomously
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field of study
This role is based out of our Boston office located downtown by South Station.
