We are seeking an experienced events manager to lead and execute all efforts for industry trade shows and other events. This is a contract position for 6 months to start as soon as possible. We are looking for a solutions-oriented individual able to work cross-functionally both internally and externally. In this role, you will be driving ROI through external events.

This position will be out of our Markforged headquarters in the Greater Boston Area

In this role you will:

• Develop and distribute all pre-event, results and post-event communication plan
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop objectives/messaging at shows as well as post-event evaluation including metrics and learnings
• Travel to priority events to manage on-site logistics, vendor relations and staffing
• Measure and report ROI metrics for all activities
• Work closely with sales team to track lead scoring/lead routing from event campaigns
• Manage events calendar event-related staff needs
• Support speaking opportunities/sponsorships in conjunction with rest of marketing team
• Work with marketing team on pre and post marketing communications for all events.

What we look for

• 3+ years experience manager corporate events/trade show program
• Strong written and verbal communication and negotiating skills
• Data-driven mindset, knowledge of Marketo and SalesForce preferred– this is a marketing role. Loving data results is key.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment – in this role you will be juggling internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis. 
• Intellectually curious - if additive manufacturing and 3D printing doesn't get you excited about how cool and interesting it is, this probably isn't the right place for you. We love this stuff. Not all of us came from this domain, but we came here since we think it is the future.

• Ability to lift 25 lbs or more
• Strong written and verbal communication and negotiating skills
• Ability to travel internationally & domestically
•  Bachelor’s degree required, CMP preferred
