ezCater is the world’s largest online marketplace for catering – a $60+ billion market just in the U.S. Businesspeople use us to find and order great food for meetings and events; restaurants and caterers use us to grow their catering business. We’re backed by Insight Partners, Iconiq Capital, Wellington, Lightspeed, and GIC, and in early 2019 were valued at $1.25 billion. COVID slammed us, but we responded by finding new customer segments and seizing the rare opportunity COVID offered: when in life does a very successful operation get a do-over? Come help us power Food For Work even better than we did it the first time.

Our Enterprise Onboarding Team is responsible for onboarding our enterprise restaurant partners, setting up their accounts & menus, and ensuring a successful & high quality launch experience. We’re an experienced team with multi-faceted players and we’re looking for an Implementation Specialist who can work with the restaurant and our internal teams to facilitate a seamless launch. The role of the Implementation Specialist is to lead the onboarding process for new strategic restaurant partners and own the restaurant relationship from post-sale until their account management transition.

As an Enterprise Implementation Specialist, you will:

  • Lead onboarding for new restaurant partners. This includes gathering requirements for set up, advising partners on successful parameters, and owning technical implementation for the brand.
  • Work closely with Internal Teams. Cross-functional work is essential to manage expectations with partners and successfully meet deadlines.
  • Lead set up of stores and menus in our internal system.
  • Share restaurant insights. You’ll use our data to contextualize being “set up for success” for the restaurant partner.
  • Manage multiple work streams. Ensure that restaurant partners are on track for launch both internally and externally.
  • Serve as the advocate for the partner and for ezCater. Internally, you’ll be the partner’s voice, and externally, you’ll need to represent ezCater.
  • Anticipate, manage, and escalate concerns. Identifying which issues to raise to which parties and when is essential for a smooth onboarding process.
  • Ensure prompt communication with all stakeholders. You’ll need to be responsive and timely in communication with external partners and be proactive about efficient handoff of information & tasks to appropriate teams.
  • Monitor the partner’s success on platform post-launch. You’ll meet with partners on a regular basis to discuss necessary changes & improvements post-launch.
  • Optimize the onboarding process. You’ll need to be vocal about potential process improvements and be iterative as we hone the onboarding process.
  • Prepare for introduction to Account Management effectively. You’ll need to set up the partner for success, be able to articulate the partner’s needs and desires for their ongoing experience with ezCater, and slot introduction at the appropriate time for a given partner.

As an Enterprise Implementation Specialist, you have:

  • Stellar verbal & written communication skills. This role involves significant phone time and email exchanges.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. This role acts as the partner’s lifeline into ezCater and will need to be responsive and trusted by them
  • Strong project management skills. The ability to follow processes exactly and move the onboarding process along for the partner and internal teams is crucial.
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills. There are existing processes and structures, but every partner has different needs.
  • Scrappiness & agility. You won’t get a training manual for this role, you’ll be helping to create it.
  • Attention to detail with a keen eye for process consistency.
  • Ability and willingness to work cross-functionally. Advocating for partners internally is crucial during the onboarding phase - this can include communication with Sales, Marketing, Partner Success, ezDispatch, Billing, Ninjas, and Engineering.
  • Self starter with a strong sense of ownership.
  • ”No task is too small” attitude with a willingness to jump in and do whatever needs to be done and an eagerness to learn.

What you’ll get from us:
You’ll get a terrifically compelling opportunity, in an environment of radical transparency, open access to all the data, and collaborative colleagues at every level of our organization. You’ll also get sane working hours and great flexibility around work/life balance.

Have people in your life – of any age – who always, often, or sometimes need your help? We make room for that. Have a bad thing or a good thing happen to you? We make room for that, too.

Oh, and you’ll get all this: Market salary, stock options that you’ll help make worth a lot, the usual holidays, all-you-can-eat vacation, 401K with ezCater match, health/dental/FSA, long-term disability insurance, a great office in the heart of Boston or Denver that you can’t use till COVID lightens up, a tremendous amount of responsibility and autonomy, wicked awesome co-workers, cupcakes (and many more goodies) once we get back to our offices, and knowing that you helped get this rocket ship to the moon.

We embrace humans of every background, appearance, race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, and disability status. An Insider's view of ezCater

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

ezCater gives its employees total control over their work-life balance, whether that means taking time for the doctor or going on a vacation. Everyone here understands that life gets in the way of work at times, and as long as you get your job done well and support your fellow co-workers, you get to control your own schedule.

Claire

Business Operations Strategist

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

I love working with other teams in the company! Every person I have encountered is insanely helpful and willing to teach me about their job. I'm always pleasantly surprised at how collaborative this company is.

Alyssa

Senior Menu Specialist

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I've been able to grow a team and department from scratch, and had the opportunity to make decisions on my own. Overall, I've grown faster here than anywhere else I've worked.

Jules

Manager, ezDispatch

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

For me, fostering creativity comes down to ownership & a healthy comfort with failure. I try to make sure the team is pointed at big, meaty problems and then I largely get out of the way.

Dillon

Sr. Product Manager

What are some social events your company does?

Our weekly breakfasts and lunches provide a social avenue throughout the day, while our end of week ezHour gives the entire company a chance to wind down and interact. Outside of that, we're often seeing fun events pop up like our Holiday Party, fun team off-sites, and volunteer events that bring people together from across the company.

David

Sales Manager
