Engineering Support Engineer
Overview
Here at Mimecast we run our own bespoke, highly available, high volume, Cloud based Cyber Resilience platform. All of this happens in a state of the art and complex technical environment that is run by some of the best technologists in their fields.
We are looking for a strong and experienced support engineer to join our rapidly growing Global Engineering Support team to enable us to continue delivering our Legendary Customer Experience.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for providing exceptional 3rd line support to our customers in conjunction with our global Customer Support teams by troubleshooting complex issues and collaborating with our software engineers to help resolve them.
You’ll help to support and educate our global Customer Support teams as well as help to drive the future of the product by collaborating with the wider Engineering and Product teams.
You will also play a crucial role when it comes to our incident management response.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Experience of supporting SaaS based applications
- Experience of working with a ticket/case management system (eg: Jira, Zendesk)
- Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills with the willingness to own the investigation through to the end
- Proficient at managing your own time and priorities and have a “let’s get it done” attitude
- Passionate about technology and a strong desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced technical environment
- Adept at working in distributed dynamic teams
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of working with Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, ADFS or Office365
- Knowledge of HTTP/S, SMTP, DNS, LDAP or similar protocols
- Experience of working with Linux
- Team lead / Management experience is desirable
