Overview:
The new role of Director of Supply Chain Management been created to build out our supplier ecosystem and develop our long-term supplier strategy. The ideal candidate has significant experience managing relationships with suppliers in the US and Asia, negotiating favorable terms, and mitigating risk across our supplier base.
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier management and working cross-functionally on high level demand and supply planning strategy
- Negotiate favorable contracts, including cost, lead time and purchase order terms and conditions, and ensure contract compliance
- Conduct quarterly business reviews and hold suppliers to key metrics
- Own overall relationship and supplier performance
- Work strategically with suppliers to continuously improve the customer experience through operational improvements
- Develop and manage daily, weekly and quarterly supply plans to meet quarterly financial revenue plans, while achieving aggressive order cycle time goals and minimizing liability.
- Work directly with suppliers and manage supplier production forecast, execution and performance to plan
- Coordinate with Sales and Finance teams to report on product availability, set launch quantities and to ensure smooth product transitions
- Partner with entire supply chain team to determine and execute optimal supply chain for all product shipments, incorporating both cost and customer service metrics.
- Present product status updates on a regular basis to key stakeholders
- Manage members of the Supply Chain team
- Specify tools and processes needed to support the business
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in supply chain and/or supplier management
- You have a degree in a technical field, such as engineering, business, or supply chain; MBA preferred
- Significant experience growing supply chain function within startup or growth environment, with success in implementing processes and systems
- Experience working within ERP systems and optimizing tools to track assets
- Senior presence; able to clearly and consistently work side-by-side with a broad range of seniority and functions to achieve objectives
- Superb relationship management skills
- You are comfortable and confident making decisions and recommendations grounded in data

- You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
