As the Director of IT at WHOOP, you will help us scale and secure our rapidly growing business. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background across IT operations, including network, support and tooling, and be comfortable proactively recommending and deploying IT solutions in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, develop, and expand a team, including 3rd party vendors, to support a growing and tech savvy company
• Monitor and ensure availability, performance, and utilization of IT services
• Develop and maintain a strategic IT roadmap aligned to company goals that outline benefit, cost, and timelines for IT initiatives
• Maintain ongoing knowledge of industry trends, best practices and technologies and drive proposals for adoption
• Partner with other departments on projects related to security, membership, and employee experience 
• Drive continuous improvement through measurement of performance against industry norms, KPIs, and established goals
• Lead IT work streams related to projects such as M&A and office construction 

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field. Comparable hands-on experience will be considered.
• 10+ years of IT experience in the field 
• 5+ years in a team management position
• Hands on when you need to with outstanding technical problem-solving skills
• Prior IT management experience in a cloud first startup environment
• Prior experience working with strategic partners including a MSP and MSSP
• Prior experience managing an IT support group for a hybrid remote company
• Excellent analytical, communication, strategic planning and execution skills
• Capable of partnering with a diverse set of stakeholders to make progress in a rapidly growing environment
• Expertise in security including best practices, frameworks, tools, and software

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
