The role of Director of Global Strategy, Microbial Innovation will own and execute the master plan of Indigo microbial innovations. It develops capital allocation strategy and ROI rationales for microbial innovation investments. It drives innovation priorities and execution plans across commercial geographies, crops and logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Own master plan for Indigo to have the fastest and highest impact microbial innovation in agriculture, spanning every major stress and crop in agriculture 
  • Create a prioritized roadmap of rolling out microbial R&D functions in each geography
  • Collaborate with GeoInnovation to develop and implement a harmonized strategy for product efficacy (RD and commercial) data development and assessments that matches the global commercial business needs
  • Deliver microbial innovation master plan for developing microbial products across all of Indigo’s future commercial geographies
  • In accordance with 5-year business plan timing, collaborate to define and deliver our target product profiles across all geographies
  • Own ad-hoc assessment of near-term strategy/business evaluation in collaboration with Business Development and Strategy team
  • Implement performance indicators, robust monitoring, and measurement process on a quarterly dashboard that directly links to strategy to implementation and shows clear ownership by Microbial Innovation sub-functions

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience, including consulting experience, ideally in biotech or biology-related field
  • Strong technical background (Ph.D in engineering, biological science, physical science or similar, MBA is beneficial)
  • Experienced in working in global setting. International experience
  • Location Boston, MA, ability to travel
  • Deep experience in global agricultural and food system R&D and global commercial organizations a plus

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
