Director, Global Real estate & Facilities

 

Indigo improves grower profitability, environmental sustainability, and consumer health through the use of natural microbiology and digital technologies. Responsibilities:

 

Meets and develops relationships with key stakeholders and real estate external consultants

  • Works with People team to ensure seating decisions match business objectives and are communicated clearly to executive team

Develops a strategic plan for Facilities for 1-5 years and communicates to key stakeholders

  • Develops short and mid-term RE plans for national and international sites
  • Aligns future facilities plan with estimated employee requisitions
  • Prioritizes real estate requisitions

Develops a full understanding of our 5-year growth plan and ability to match against global footprint

  • Develops a full understanding of Indigo’s global footprint

Successfully leads and manages the Facilities team

  • Develops a global facilities staffing plan

Immediately manages existing several capital projects to deliver office, laboratory, greenhouse, manufacturing and/or warehouse facilities


Every global office is recognizable when you enter the office space as “Indigo” while maintaining some local flair

Launches an environmental sustainability plan for all of Indigo facilities

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of working experience
  • Experience in heading a corporate facilities team, required
  • Experience leading and managing office and lab space build outs, required
  • Corporate, multi-national/multi-billion-dollar real estate management experience, preferably in a tech company
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering field, nice to have
  • Background in engineering coupled with a master’s in management, nice to have
  • Experience running laboratories and greenhouse spaces, nice to have
  • Experience with environmental health and safety and security, preferred
  • Proven emergency response track record and training, preferred
  • International work experience, required
  • Foreign language, preferred

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
