The goal of the Go to Market and Business Operations team is to build the foundation of our internal systems and processes, scale these systems, and improve efficiencies. There is a strong focus on analytical and quantitative thinking. We blend high-level strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution to propel the company to grow and scale well. We are a team of problem-solvers, where all challenges are met with enthusiasm and open minds.

The Director, Business Operations position will focus on helping Markforged continue to scale - managing Business Operations teams, working with executives and cross-functional leadership to solve problems, maintaining team budgets, building executive level presentations, and performing data analysis to understand and guide business decisions.

In this role you will:

  • Manage and develop talent on the Go to Market Operations team
  • Analyze sales, channel, and marketing data results and make specific business recommendations to team leadership and optimize decision making and planning processes
  • Serve as main point of contact for team leadership as it pertains to Go to Market Operations
  • Define, develop, and execute comprehensive projects and initiatives as needed to support Markforged’s growth
  • Lead sales performance tracking and forecast efforts
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and output of sales, channel, and marketing processes and demonstrate return on investment to senior management
  • Support development of new Markforged’s initiatives as they pertain to Go to Market efforts
  • Partner with cross functional teams such as finance and operations to ensure day to day business running smoothly in lead to cash process
  • Drive development of strategic resources to meet business goals
  • Maintain GtM team budgets with team leads
  • Manage Go to Market data integrity across all tools and platforms (such as Salesforce, etc.)
  • Manage and support onboarding and new hire efforts and initiatives for Go to Market employees

  • 5+ years experience managing teams in Sales Ops, Channel Ops, Marketing Ops, Business Ops, or related roles
