About Office of the CEO:

This role is a unique opportunity to work closely with the CEO and support him on cross-functional initiatives . You will report directly to the CEO and help drive strategic priorities that shape the business vision and strategy. The role will focus on highly visible, mission-critical initiatives that offer significant exposure to the leadership team as well as opportunities for taking on greater responsibilities that can help drive an accelerated career progression.

 

Responsibilities

The CEO is looking for a Chief of Staff who is highly productive, self-motivated, and passionate about continually improving business operations for a continuously growing organization. In this role, you will work closely with our CEO to help him develop, plan, and execute mission-critical initiatives. By joining the early stages of our hyper-growth organization, you’ll play an integral part in building the processes that will make our organization successful. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Shadow CEO to develop an understanding of overall business strategy and operations.

  • Serve as an additional channel to communicate wants, needs, concerns, ideas from the team to the CEO effectively and efficiently.

  • Take a lead on strategic projects to drive business plan.

  • Assist the CEO in prioritizing key initiatives and identifying metrics for success.

  • Attend meetings on the CEO’s behalf, gather relevant information for decision-making, understand the context for discussion, and report back. Develop an opinion of what should come next, recommend a course of action, and assist in implementing next steps.

  • Assist teams in the framing of complex business challenges, understand the “big picture” quickly, identify key issues, prioritize analysis & drive subsequent analysis to arrive at a well-structured solution.

  • Build and develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies.

 

Requirements:

  • Passionate about their role and the mission of the organization and be a strong “force multiplier” for the CEO.

  • Strategic mindset with strong critical thinking skills and passion for solving ambiguous or complex business issues.

  • Exceptional ability to conduct thorough research, create structured quantitative and qualitative analyses, and translate findings into high-quality output and actionable recommendations.

  • Demonstrate hypothesis-driven problem solving skills with special ability to build structured quantitative and qualitative analyses. Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to formulate and deliver insights around complex business problems in a thoughtful and persuasive manner.

  • Demonstrate ability to ramp up quickly in new areas.

  • Highly collaborative nature with strong interpersonal and “team player” skills.

  • Ability to “run with the ball” and to be  comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.

  • Self-starter mindset.

  • Strong financial and business modeling and analysis skills.

  • Demonstrated interest in technology, product innovation, and/or financial technology (credit/loans, payments, digital banking).

  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc.) and the ability and willingness to quickly master other commonly used productivity software.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree from a top-tier academic institution and demonstrated academic excellence;

  • 3+ years of experience in a top-tier management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development role or equivalent.

  • Previous experience/exposure in fintech (digital banking, payments, credit/lending) and/or experience with LatAm/Brazilian fintech or banking markets is a strong plus.
