Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Business Operations Associate to support cross-department communication and organization as we scale our remote-first workforce.

The Business Operations Associate will work directly with the Chief of Staff, and gain exposure to product, engineering, business development and marketing teams. The job will offer hands-on experience at a rapidly growing early-stage start up and play a pivotal role in day-to-day operations.

An applicant should be comfortable time-managing a broad set of responsibilities across multiple projects. This person will need to work collaboratively and productively with individuals of all seniority levels from different functional areas of the business. One can anticipate gaining experience in:

  • Internal Operations (meeting planning, tracking executables, process setting)
  • Business Development (screening inbound opportunities, prospect research)
  • Recruiting (recruiting operations, hiring logistics)

The applicant should be a builder interested in setting precedent, developing processes, and helping make decisions in quickly changing conditions. This role is truly for the young professional who wants to get intimately involved with what it takes to run an early-stage tech startup and provides an inside view of the process.

In this role the candidate will:

  • Ensure effective communication processes and systems within an increasingly distributed company
  • Own company-wide shared calendars, communication softwares and meeting administration
  • Update and maintain the company wiki
  • Ensure a good experience for candidates and new hires by quickly arranging interviews, clearly communicating decisions, and organizing onboarding information
  • Provide support and execution for internal and external events in partnership with company leadership
  • Manage day-to-day operations in our Boston headquarters to provide a comfortable and optimal working environment for our team
  • Serve as the first point of contact for general administrative office needs, including facility and building management support and communication
  • Maintain and oversee general administrative office needs, including: weekly grocery and lunch orders, external vendor management, organizing monthly supply orders and managing influx.

What we are looking for:

  • 1-2 years of executive assistant or business operations experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Must collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Sales, Partners and Marketing
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional role with a highly distributed team
