Description
The Training Specialist is accountable for overseeing the training and management of annotators for Iterative Scopes Research and Development projects on annotation platforms. This role is critical in shaping the annotation strategy and developing artificial intelligence algorithms in the gastroenterology space to impact the next generation of patient care.
The Training Specialist works closely with leadership on projects and strategic initiatives, providing support through in-depth project/task knowledge. This position requires team management and coaching skills to ensure high-quality annotation for the AI algorithms development. The specialist both owns action items and tasks, executes them in a timely fashion, and follows up with other stakeholders on tasks associated with these projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop training and assessment materials for annotators
- Design annotation training strategy for Iterative Scopes R&D projects
- Train annotators and assess the readiness of annotators
- Define and track quality metrics for annotation, identify quality issues, redefine the training approach, and retrain annotators
- Create throughputs to track and analyze annotators progress
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with team members, senior leadership, vendors, and stakeholders in order to act as an effective liaison between all parties
- Learn and understand the motivations, needs, and road-blockers of various stakeholders involved in each project
Requirements & Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A college degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required
- Experience in coaching and teaching
- Experience in training material development
- Excellent team management skills
- Experience with annotation tools preferred
- Experience in the digital health environment is preferable
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills are required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and thorough follow-up skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the medical image or video annotation
- Experience working within a high paced, fluid environment
- Experience with vendor management
- Experience with managing overseas teams is preferable
- Background in biology/healthcare
