The mission for FedCash® Services is to supply currency and coin to meet both domestic and international demand, maintain the quality and integrity of currency in circulation, and ensure depository institutions have ready access to Cash Services. Our primary goal is to maintain confidence in U.S. currency through well-controlled operations with sufficient capacity to meet the needs of the marketplace on a daily basis and in times of stress. Our individual efforts are team-centric and values-based to support our mission.
This position is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and analytical support for department management in Cash Services.
- Provide administrative support including coordinating travel arrangements and reimbursements, arranging room reservations and food services, copying, scanning; maintaining locker assignments, bulletin boards and authorization lists. Coordinates all aspects of internal and external meetings.
- Using a variety of software products, prepares and/or maintains a variety of documentation including spreadsheets, presentations, briefing papers, project reports and analytical documents for management.
- Act as the primary department attendance timekeeper.
- Manage purchases by acting as the inventory coordinator and PCard holder for the department. This includes conducting a monthly audit of supplies; monitoring inventory amounts and making appropriate purchasing decisions; and maintaining accurate inventory records and reporting.
- Conduct industry research on issues relative to cash services. Create and maintain documentation for contracts, expenses, purchase orders and invoices. Manages memberships.
- Support management in chairing local or system workgroups or meetings including scheduling, taking and publishing minutes and action items, and maintaining workgroup or committee documentation.
- Write the department newsletter and maintain the department eboard. Administer various projects, programs or processes as assigned.
- Exercises independent judgment in the resolution of issues. Interface with employees, senior management, the Treasury, the Board of Governors, other Reserve Banks, and FRBB customers.
- Provides proactive analytical and specialized administrative support to the department Vice President.
- Exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
In all Cash Services work assignments, ensure adherence to Custody Control Principles and Standards, Information Security requirements, Treasury guidelines, Bank policies and other department procedures.
This position is not required to directly supervise others.
Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of an Associate's degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of job related experience.
- Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office including Access, Excel, Word, MS Project and PowerPoint
- Strong time management skills, communication and interpersonal skills as well as organizational and event planning skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow through with assignments, ability to multi-task
- Analytical and problem solving skills needed
