About the job: 3D Printing Technician

OPT Industries (http://optindustries.com) is a rapidly growing, venture-backed MIT spinoff company that focuses on building the next generation of additive manufacturing technology. We design and manufacture custom textile materials and products - everything from medical devices to luxury fashion. As we continue to grow and expand our manufacturing operation, we are looking for highly motivated individuals to support the engineering team to scale our production facility

Your Role:

• Maintain safe working practice at ALL times.

• Aid in assembly of production equipment. Troubleshoot machinery and electrical equipment such as projectors, water chillers, fluid pumps, and heating systems.

• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems.

• Communicate with various parties on the work performed and present status of production equipment.

• Interpret schematics and engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the system(s).

• Completion of daily housekeeping duties individually and as a team.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude or experience.

• Working knowledge of computers (Gsuite,Slack)

• Manual dexterity.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistent with OSHA guidelines.

• Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings and dimensions.
