Product Marketing Director - RIA Channel Leader
The Successful Candidate:
Your passion lies at the intersection of wealth management, technology and marketing. You possess a working knowledge of the financial advice supply chain, particularly as it applies to RIAs. You understand the broad RIA ecosystem and can translate technology, investment management, operational and practice management opportunities and pain points into compelling, insightful thought leadership and marketing content. You’re comfortable in a hands-on role and thrive when given a chance to collaborate with talented teammates across Marketing, Sales, Products, Relationship Management and Engineering.
Your Responsibilities:
Generally, you’ll craft Vestmark’s and Adhesion Wealth’s positioning and messaging to grow share in the RIA channel. You’ll continue to broaden and deepen your understanding of the RIA channel by working closely with senior leaders at both firms to understand and support their business objectives. You’ll also continue to study and research the RIA channel, maintain a knowledge base of intelligence and proactively share it with peers & colleagues. You’ll work closely with:
- Marketing Communications... to own the top of the RIA sales funnel by developing, executing and measuring a variety of content and campaigns
- .. to monitor the pipeline, understand opportunities and assist in closing new business
- .. to help rationalize and prioritize the product roadmap
- Relationship Managers... to optimize the feedback loop among RIA clients & custodians
Specifically, you’ll execute and refine Vestmark’s four Product Marketing pillars:
1) Know the market
- Quickly become an SME regarding VestmarkONE (our SaaS platform) and Adhesion Wealth Management (our TAMP-like offering for smaller independent RIAs)
- Collect, analyze and share market knowledge across RIA segments
2) Understand the user
- Understand and define distinct RIA buyer and user personas
- Identify pain points and how peers or competitors may solve them more effectively
3) Shape the product
- Maintain an inventory of potential RIA-centric product and service enhancements
- Assist in maintaining the formal product and services roadmap
4) Tell the Story
Most importantly, you’ll work closely with SMEs at Vestmark, Adhesion and the Marketing Communications team to craft compelling content and thought leadership including:
- Whitepapers & eBooks
- Pitchbooks & presentations
- Blog posts and social media
- Print and digital advertising
- Marketing collateral & press releases
Requirements:
The optimal candidate will possess:
- 8+ years of marketing, content creation and/or consulting experience in wealth management or fintech, preferably with 2+ years related to the RIA channel
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- An aptitude for research, fact-finding and tapping multiple resources to collect and synthesize data
- The ability to produce and execute independently while playing a key role across a variety of teams and functions
- Availability for light travel, typically around 5 days per quarter
