Sr. Channel Marketing Manager

 

SimpliSafe is growing its retail team and looking to hire a Retail Marketing Manager. In this

role, you’ll be responsible for leading and executing the retail marketing efforts within the US.

You’ll establish, build and cultivate relationships at all levels within retailer accounts and at

SimpliSafe, delivering category leading, effective programs based on market insights.

You will have full ownership of the retail marketing programs and projects. You will be the

leader and expert in retail marketing, consistently planning, testing, and learning to better

understand and communicate with our target customers at retail. Your work is influenced by

customer data, and you are able to develop the appropriate plans that gather and provide the

relevant insights needed to be successful.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the Retail Sales team to identify, develop and deliver appropriate channel marketing plans in support of broader retail goals.
  • Build a robust ‘test & learn’ process that captures insights from programs, assets and promotions in order to continuously optimize our marketing initiatives.
  • Leverage customer and channel insights to influence the customer journey, both online and in-store.
  • Develop, define and own the retail promotional strategy.
  • Partner with our DTC team to ensure plans are aligned and successfully complement our broader sales and marketing objectives.
  • Establish Retail Marketing KPIs, whilst continuously monitoring, adapting and optimizing to our audience.
  • Partner with the sales team to develop a platform that will measure and report our marketing ROI.
  • Monitor and understand competitors within channel including placement, messaging, and promotional strategies.
  • Drive retail merchandising, display, and retail communication strategies.
  • Develop strong relationships with retail partners, SimpliSafe stakeholders, and external agencies.
  • Manage the retail marketing budget for your accounts while tracking and reporting progress accordingly.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Experience in channel marketing with major retailers.
  • 6-8 years experience in marketing for a consumer product or technology company.
  • A self-starter and manager able to influence and lead.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • A progressive, creative thinker with ability to adapt and scale.
  • Proven history of effectively managing external agencies and partners
