Senior Segment Marketing Associate
Position Summary:
The Segment Marketing Sr. Associate is responsible for planning, organizing and executing programs that generate new prospects and advance existing opportunities for the sales team. Includes marketing to stages of the buyer’s journey from awareness through purchase. Segment Marketing Sr. Associate will develop – or assist in the development of – marketing plans consisting of multi-touch, multi-dimensional programs including both inbound and outbound tactics. They may also manage vendor relationships and coordinate across various marketing functions.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):
Campaigns (40%)
- Develop and implement multi-touch, multi-dimensional programs including both inbound and outbound tactics
- Partner with sales on creating pipeline acceleration programs
- Partner with events team to research, choose, design and manage live events to be included as tactics in the overall marketing mix, and ensure there is a cohesive pre-event, at-event and post-event strategy to increase engagement and response rates
- Serve as mentor to junior colleagues
Analytics (30%)
- Forecast, measure, analyze and report on impact of programs at project level
Optimize (30%)
- Proactively engage with sales teams to coordinate, communicate, and optimize the impact of marketing activities
- Identify and proactively close gaps in content across the buyer’s journey in partnership with “Content Segment Marketing”
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4+ years professional experience
- Three to five years’ experience in Marketing
- Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting programs to drive awareness and sales; actual sales experience is highly desirable
- Ability to track and report out on performance, and strategize on how to continually improve in all key areas of responsibility
- Highly-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements
- Ability to consistently produce results on time and within budget
- Inbound marketing strategy/execution experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
- Planning/project management
- Ability to understand decision impact on other areas of the business
- Strong oral/written communications skills
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights
- Strong consultative marketing approach to effectively engage with sales
- Ability to direct content building required for complex demand creation
