Onapsis is looking for an experienced, high-energy Technical Marketing Manager (TMM) to augment field activities and drive customer and partner engagement. In this role, you will be directly and personally responsible for competitive sales enablement and content creation and for developing a deep, nuanced understanding of our competition’s technical capabilities and primary GTM strategy and tactics, with a goal of uncovering new opportunities, strategies, and tactics to empower the Onapsis field to win in the market.

The Technical Marketing Manager will be a technical subject matter expert on the Onapsis platform, the market, and the competition. The TMM will own technical product enablement and training as well as competitive intelligence, research, and the generation of competitive insights for both direct and channel teams. As part of Product Marketing, the TMM will work closely with the Sales Engineering group to help enable demos and innovate new ways to demonstrate high-impact value in sales engagements.  This role will also work closely with Product Management to constantly assess the product-problem fit, ensuring that what was built, shipped, and sold exceeds our customer's expectations. 

Responsibilities

  • Understand the technical details of the product, including how our product works, is configured, and is deployed, and subsequently communicate the technical value for the end user.
  • Synthesize guidance from a variety of information levels and sources (technical, business, field, external) and regularly present key takeaways to the field and to senior leadership
  • Conduct in-depth technical competitive research and analysis to create accessible competitive content for the field.
  • Make recommendations on sales tactics and product strategy to enable Onapsis to win in the market.
  • Conduct in-depth technical competitive research and analysis to create accessible competitive content for the field.
  • Represent the voice of the customer and provide customer and market insights to Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, and Marketing teams.
  • Develop technical content to drive product awareness and influence purchase
  • Create scalable sales tools that articulate Onapsis’s value proposition, including case studies, presentation decks, videos, and other customer/prospect-facing collateral.
  • Apply product expertise to be an effective resource for sales in closing deals and growing accounts.
  • Work with our partnerships organization to develop compelling technical sales content, demos, sales training, and enablement activities for our channel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in the cybersecurity market. 
  • Experience with SAP and/or cloud applications strongly preferred. 
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into field actionable guidance and executive summaries.
  • Superior communication skills, including experience presenting to senior & executive level management.
  • Self-starter with excellent people and project management skills to manage projects and interact cross-functionally across the organization and third parties.
