MachineMetrics, a leader in IoT platforms for machines, is seeking a talented Product Marketing Manager to join our team! 

About The Role:

Product Marketing is the art and science of working collaboratively - with product, marketing, sales, and channel - to define and deliver a company's total value to our audience and customers. We use our knowledge of the customer, market, and competitive intelligence to connect customer needs to value-based solutions that differentiate MachineMetrics and drive growth in the market. Drawing from market and customer expertise, Product Marketing will provide go-to-market leadership, drive new product introductions, and create messaging, positioning, content, and sales tools.

Our Product Marketing Manager will lead highly impactful and visible cross-functional programs that accelerate sales, unlock revenue growth, increase demand for our product, and build awareness of MachineMetrics to the manufacturing industry. Our challenge is to explain to the market a new and complex technology in a distilled way that our customers get. To do so, this role requires an inherent curiosity and excitement for the smart manufacturing revolution and someone who wants to tell the story.


What You’ll Do:

  • Content Creation
    • Develop marketing and sales content that synthesizes the vision and value of new products/features for the sales team
    • Develop and maintain sales tools that facilitate the selling process
    • Create compelling marketing content such as sales presentations, case studies, videos, website copy, sell sheets, battle cards, and blog posts
  • Go-To-Market
    • Work with the Head of Marketing and Product to plan and execute go-to-market launches, announcements, and campaigns for new and existing products
    • Align business value to product offerings and connect to market through messaging and positioning
    • Work cross functionally to promote the MachineMetrics story and empower thought leadership
  • Market Research
    • Drive market research projects to better understand the market and gather intelligence to help inform marketing messaging as it relates to product
    • Stay up to date on the competitive landscape
    • Spend time with customer base to bring the "voice of the customer" to all that we do - from content creation to website to advertising messaging
  • Technical Acumen
    • Be a source of product evangelism internally and with customers
    • Bring technical depth to content strategy

What You’ll Have:

  • BA in Marketing, Business, or a BS in engineering or computer science, preferred
  • 3-5+ years of relevant software platform product management or product marketing experience
  • Knowledge and experience with SaaS cloud operations, open integration, analytics, mobility and/or and user experience is required
  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry and business processes is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, Industrial IoT, or other manufacturing technology preferred
  • Deep understanding of product marketing and its strategies including relationship management, marketing automation and campaign-driven marketing approaches
  • Leadership: You are an everyday leader. People are inspired by your vision and passion. You build relationships to make things happen 
  • Passion: You enjoy getting things done. You have the ability to see the big picture and love getting in the weeds with smaller tactical details. You thrive in situations with many moving parts 
  • Organization: You love organizing and arranging people and things with meticulous attention to detail. You can rally people to support, implement, and execute your vision 
  • A bias for technology; utilizing systems including CRMs (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce), G-Suite (google docs etc.), instant message (e.g., Slack, Skype),  Demandbase, Marketo, LeanData, Engagio, Terminus, or similar
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Graphics design experience in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign a plus

Other Requirements:

  • All qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • You'll need a valid driver’s license, passport, ability to travel without restriction and reliable transportation 
  • You may need to travel on short notice (domestic, with potential for international travel)
