HubSpot has a story to tell, and we’re looking for a PR-savvy storyteller to help us share it with the world. Does coming up with irresistible email subject lines for press make your day? Are you up for the challenge of ghostwriting for different executive voices? Is the future of company culture and work something you’re curious and passionate about?

If so, then the PR & Communications Manager on HubSpot’s Culture Team might be your next career move. We believe that PR has changed; starting a conversation about your organization today takes a lot more than pitching the New York Times and hoping for the best or taking journalists out to dinner. The best PR people today take an inbound approach. They spend as much time on telling their organization’s story through their own creative content as they do on emailing reporters. They don’t only identify press opportunities, they create them.

What will the PR & Communications Manager do?

This position will help grow HubSpot’s inbound recruiting efforts by building the company’s employer brand through PR, media relations, and content creation. Your mission will be to make HubSpot a destination for top talent globally. How? By identifying unique culture and workplace stories happening at HubSpot, and reaching new audiences with those stories by:

  • Securing press coverage in top tier media on HubSpot culture, announcements, and trends
  • Ghostwriting thought leadership pieces for HubSpot’s exec team
  • Developing net new buzz and social campaigns
  • Identifying event and speaking opportunities for thought leadership
  • Working with employees in our global offices to grow HubSpot’s employer brand in our key, growing markets
  • Managing internal communications around announcements, launches, crisis comms, etc.
  • Deeply understanding HubSpot’s company culture and vision

What skills does the ideal candidate have for this role?

You should apply for this position if:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in a PR or communications role (in-house or agency are both great)
  • You are confident in, and have experience with, ghostwriting for executives for blog posts, press releases, contributed editorial content, etc.
  • You can share examples of successful media coverage you’ve placed in a variety of outlets
  • You have 3-5 writing samples to share (could be a blog post, an editorial, etc.)
  • You want to bring completely new, content-driven ideas to the table
  • You are a fan of HubSpot’s Culture Code
  • Bonus: Being comfortable with basic design tools like Canva, Sketch, Keynote, is a plus. There will be some projects that require you to design graphics, collateral, or slide decks.
