Marketing Specialist
Simplisafe is looking for an incredibly bright and self-motivated individual to run ad campaigns in major media channels. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for someone who wants to directly impact the top line of a high-growth consumer tech business and make a positive impact on people’s lives.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for researching, negotiating, closing, and optimizing media buys for channels like TV, digital, radio, podcasts, print, and direct mail. You will be given responsibility over a large media spend right out of the gate and have the ability to make decisions that directly impact the business. You’ll help us learn by working with the design team to test new messaging every chance we get and you’ll help us find new opportunities for growth. This entry-level opportunity is unique in that you will be given immediate responsibility that will allow you to make an impact on the business from day one.
Today, we are the fastest growing home security company in the country competing against the entrenched giants, like ADT, and the new-to-the-space giants, like Amazon and Google. To compete in this ever-growing IoT home automation security space, we must learn and iterate quickly, work collaboratively, and deliver creatively. In service to this challenge, we are expanding our Marketing team in an effort to make Simplisafe a household name.
What you’ll do:
- Take full responsibility for marketing campaign design, management & optimization
- Discover and test new advertising channels
- Reach out to, and negotiate with vendors
- Work closely with internal creative team
- Measure campaign results
- Optimize relentlessly
What you’ll need to be successful:
Critical Competencies
- Good verbal communication and phone skills
- Great organizational capabilities
- Strong analytical ability and comfort with numbers
- No ego, humble attitude and endless curiosity
- Entrepreneurial mindset & sense of urgency and accountability
- Proficiency in MS Office tools like Excel and Word
Experience
- Completion of an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree
- History of success in fast-paced, collaborative work environments
