Mission

HubSpot Academy is on a mission to transform the way the world does business, offering a variety of educational and inspirational content — from blog posts to lessons and full certification courses. HubSpot Academy’s free content provides valuable training for people all over the world, and it generates new customers for the business and delights our existing ones.

Role

The globalization specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all Academy content is world-class. To us, this means content that’s created with global audiences and ongoing localization in mind. You will act as the voice of our global users. You will lead the team in creating global-first content and teach team members how to consider global markets in their creation processes.

You will work to constantly improve source content creation processes and technologies to enable simultaneous launch of content in all languages at once. You will oversee the creation, maintenance, and publishing of Academy content in global languages by working closely with both the source content creation teams and the localization team. You’ll act as a bridge between both teams to help us work effectively in educating and inspiring our global audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze source content creation workflows and advise on process and technology improvements to ensure all content is created in a globally aware and localization-friendly way.
  • Prioritize content by working with international stakeholders at HubSpot in marketing, services, support, and other areas, using their feedback to set goals, priorities, and timelines.
  • Set and manage standards for creating content with a global mindset.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on the Academy team for all localization initiatives, working closely with the localization team and external vendors to continually improve the process from the Academy side.
  • Manage all non-English content implementation to ensure successful launches.
  • Determine when and where native in-language content might be required.
  • Advocate for non-English and international Academy users to consistently deliver an incredible user experience.
  • Measure and report on the ROI and impact of international and non-English content.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience with multilingual content for global audiences
  • Experience with optimizing source content creation and authoring processes
  • High level of comfort with technical content, including website and software localization
  • Experience working with distributed international teams across multiple time zones
  • Ability to travel frequently to HubSpot international offices to meet with international stakeholders
  • Inbound certified
  • Familiarity with CRM and CMS software and ideally with inbound marketing and HubSpot software
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively and incorporate input from international stakeholders
