Growth Marketing Manager
At Klaviyo, we value the unique backgrounds, experiences and perspectives each Klaviyo (we call ourselves Klaviyos) brings to our workplace each and every day. We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at success and appreciate the experiences each person brings beyond the traditional job requirements. If you’re a close but not exact match with the description, we hope you’ll still consider applying.
About the team
The Marketing Team is pretty special—a diverse group of empathetic thinkers, passionate doers, creative strategists, and true originals, all working together to solve interesting problems and connect with online brands from around the world. Together, we help businesses of all sizes build deeper customer relationships, acquire bigger audiences, and use data to fuel amazing experiences.
The Self-Serve Growth Team grows revenue by building and optimizing best-in-class experiences that demonstrate Klaviyo’s value across all aspects of the self-serve customer funnel, from acquisition to retention and advocacy. We obsess over our users’ journeys, both on the dotcom website and within the product, and partner closely with teams from around Klaviyo to design and test improvements to these experiences.
About the role
As Growth Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth through the Self-Serve funnel, focusing on creating new sign-ups by optimizing the experiences of Klaviyo’s existing install base. You’ll set the strategy for this part of the user lifecycle, managing and progressing a portfolio of in-product and email-based experiments with the Klaviyo install base. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, data scientists, analysts, and marketers partners to make it happen, all under the leadership of the Self-Serve Growth Director.
How you’ll have an impact
Growth Marketing can mean different things to different people. At Klaviyo it means you’ll:
- Own and manage a stage of the user lifecycle, including setting optimization strategy, maintaining and progressing experiment portfolio, defining resource requirements, and reporting against metrics
- Deeply understand users at this stage of the lifecycle, partnering with Analysts and Data Scientists to dig into large data sets, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities, as well as Research teams, incorporating qualitative insights
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to create new product experiences to optimize this stage of the lifecycle
- Design and run A/B experiments (and other statistical testing methods) with data-driven hypotheses about improvements to the user experience
- Be accountable for key performance indicators of the reach and impact of your experiments
- Present your results and recommendations to leaders and help drive next steps
- Influence cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Marketing) and advocate for resourcing and alignment on behalf of the team
- Monitor and optimize ongoing campaign and product funnel performance
- Mentor junior members of the team and hire new members in line with future campaign success
What we’re looking for
- You’re an experienced analyst. You have strong proficiency in SQL, knowledge of statistics and probability.
- Ambiguous and open-ended requests don’t scare you. You take a methodical approach to problem-solving and know how to ask the right questions when you don’t have all the answers.
- You have strong communication skills and are able to clearly articulate impact
- You are able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to drive towards a shared outcome.
- 4+ years B2B experience in Growth, Business Ops, or another analytical role in tech, finance or consulting. Strong working knowledge of user funnels, conversion cycles, and product-led growth
- Cultural alignment will be an important element in this person's success
Nice to have
- Project management experience
