Director, Industry Marketing - Financial Services
Everbridge seeks a senior-level Industry Marketing Director to help create and execute the go-to-market strategy across the Everbridge portfolio for the Financial Services industry. This is an individual contributor role. You will be the Financial Services expert within Everbridge and the voice of Everbridge to the Financial Services industry, helping to define and articulate the value that Evebridge’s products provide to Financial Services companies. You must have significant experience and knowledge of the Financial Services industry, including but not limited to Retail and Commercial Banking, Insurance, Credit Card and Payment Service companies, Investment Funds and Stock Brokerages - and the business drivers, challenges, trends, policies, and regulatory compliance requirements that support the need for Critical Event Management solutions. Your goal is to support our sales and marketing efforts to increase Everbridge’s pipeline, bookings, and customer size/share of wallet in the Financial Services industry.
About the Team
The Industry & Solutions Marketing team is focused on connecting technology to value through an understanding of our customers business. The Director of Industry Marketing will work as part of a growing team of industry marketers responsible for bringing Everbridge products to focused industries. The role will report directly to the VP of Industry & Solutions Marketing, and work closely with product marketing, product management, business development, and our global field marketing and sales teams as we help our customers understand the relevance and value of Everbridge’s Critical Event Management solutions to their businesses.
Job Duties
Define and drive vertical market messaging using input from internal and external sources
Create and communicate industry-specific personas for buyers and users to sales, field marketing, and partners.
Analyze relevant business situations/trends and proactively recognize, evaluate, and develop messages to address key business issues, drivers and growth opportunities
Provide oversight and direction to the Marcom team for projects to support vertical lead generation and awareness objectives, including collateral creation, promotional campaigns, PR, events, and similar
Create content for internal and external audiences describing and quantifying the industry-specific business value of Everbridge’s products
Create and deliver industry-specific trainings for a worldwide direct and indirect sales team.
Develop sales tools including collateral, case studies, presentations, and ROI tools.
Develop industry target account profiles with a set of metrics to track adoption of Everbridge services.
Analyze competitive landscape and keep sales and management team apprised of key developments
Work closely with vertical sales directors to understand their objectives for market awareness and lead generation to drive sales opportunities and sales tool needs throughout the sales lifecycle
Provide sales support as needed for key sales opportunities, and evangelism and thought leadership for event, AR & PR support.
Develop and nurture referrals and references
Basic Qualifications
Strong classical marketing product management or business management skills
~15 years of professional experience with at least 7 of those focused on strategic, product, or vertical marketing in the enterprise software industry or within the B2B technology space
Experience marketing to the Financial Services industry, in either a product or vertical/industry marketing role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a broad range of business audiences
Excellent presentation, interviewing, and research skills; whomever fills this role will represent the face of Everbridge within the financial services vertical
Desired Qualifications
Ability to gather and synthesize disparate information into a cohesive, compelling message
Ability to drive projects (motivated self-starter)
Demonstrated experience working with a cross-functional team consisting of Sales, Marketing, Technical Services and Product Management
A proven history of growing revenue through Industry and/or Product Marketing for new and/or mature product lines.
Experience working with physical security, cyber security and/or IT service management software solutions is desired.
BS/BA in Marketing or related area, MBA preferred
