Responsibilities:
Immediately jump in and establish a structure for the Events Team that can support the range of
large-scale (beneficial ag) to small scale (geo/local seminars) events
Establish a process for evaluating event opportunities and executions that map to high value and ROI for the business
- Establish clear KPIs and dashboard to measure performance against concrete events goals
Establish him/herself as a key thought and execution partner on the annual Beneficial Ag event (to Strategy, Ops, Brand, Commercial and Executive team)
Evaluate current events strategy and identify areas for increased effectiveness and opportunities for additional workstreams
- Fully understand both the Indigo and Terraton brand and establish an event strategy that is in support of those brands
Continue to help the Marketing team grow in order to execute against business needs
- Hire Regional Field Marketing staff
Competencies:
- Extreme manager-doer, able to lead strategically while executing the smallest level of details (ie caterers, seating plants, etc.)
- Extremely creative
- Effective, collaborative and can-do personality with ability to diplomatically decline with logic and rationale
- Strong and calm presence, resourceful and inventive
- Ability to read the room, assess good creative and have an eye for building/executing effective brand experiences
- Effective ability to balance experience with budget
- Highly organized, detail oriented
- Ability to work cross-functionally from executives to grower-focused representatives
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of experience in agency or client-side
- Experience building and managing an events team
- Experience executing events for the purpose of thought leadership, sales development and brand building
- Managed on time and on budget events ranging local low thousands to multi-million, multi-city
- Experience running events at global organizations, where it requires global oversight & local execution
- Has directly run events or experiential marketing for high profile brands directly and in partnership
