Hurry up! We’ve got a dream to build!

BlueConic is an international SaaS startup that’s growing fast. We love what we do, we’re proud of how we do it, and we’ve built a great team with a truly exceptional product and company. BlueConic is a disruptive technology in the martech industry, and it’s our job to make sure every growth-focused company knows it.

Do you enjoy planning and coordinating events down to the last detail? Does the sound of a badge being scanned at a trade show booth make you swoon? Do you find yourself obsessively watching the comments and questions during a live webinar to gauge audience engagement? We’ve got a job for you.

We’re looking for a Director of Event Marketing with SaaS event marketing experience, particularly in the martech industry, to join our nimble and growing team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Demand Gen, you will manage the end-to-end planning, logistics, and execution of events to ensure our customers, prospects, and partners come away with a positive experience and perception of BlueConic. In doing so, you’ll play a critical role in engaging high-value customers and partners, growing our global pipeline, and increasing awareness of our brand and value proposition.

In this role you will:

  • Manage end-to-end planning, logistics, and execution of BlueConic marketing events, including trade shows/conferences, sponsored webinars, and targeted field events
  • Identify and evaluate events that BlueConic should be attending or sponsoring to reach our target accounts and personas
  • Serve as the main point of contact within BlueConic for marketing events, interacting directly with organizers and related vendors throughout the process
  • Ensure BlueConic speakers, attendees, and the rest of the marketing team is aware of all event-related deadlines and deliverables, including any specs related to those deliverables
  • Create and manage cross-channel pre- and post-event communications to drive awareness & registration (e.g. website, social, email) in collaboration with other marketing team members for execution
  • For trade shows, conferences, and targeted fields events, coordinate with BlueConic attendees and speakers to communicate critical information (e.g. registration & accommodation information, schedules, proper attire, collateral, badge scanner, VIP passes)
  • Build a targeted field event program from the ground up in collaboration with the Sales team and senior leadership
  • Post event, ensure all leads are captured and uploaded to our CRM system and followed-up on in a timely manner; evaluate the quality of the event and determine if we should invest again; and collaborate with other marketing team members to promote any new content that comes from the event (e.g. videos of speaking sessions)
  • Manage printing, shipping, and travel needs and expenses (e.g. collateral, equipment, booths, swag, gifts), interacting directly with the finance team when necessary
  • Travel to events to manage on-the-ground logistics when necessary and be an enthusiastic advocate for BlueConic when onsite at events!

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

  • 5+ years event marketing experience for a SaaS company
  • Both prospect and customer event marketing experience (e.g. trade shows, private dinners, customer advisory board meetings, executive roundtables)
  • Experience managing an annual event budget of $1M or more
  • Global event marketing experience
  • Proven ability to secure senior-level attendees (Directors, VP, C-Suite) at BlueConic-hosted events
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to communicate key dates and deliverables to all necessary stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with an acute attention to grammar, consistency, and style guide compliance
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and drive projects forward while working with multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Collaborative work style with a positive and friendly attitude

You will stand out from the pack if you have:

  • Previous event marketing experience while working for a martech company
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM
  • Experience using a project management tool (e.g. Smartsheet, Aha, Asana)
  • Experience with an email marketing and/or marketing automation system (Pardot preferred)

Reasons to join us:

  • Help build the best company in marketing technology, period.
  • Be part of a fast-growing team of hard-working B2B marketing experts
  • Join early and help shape this function as it expands and grows with demand and budget
  • Enjoy competitive salary and benefits, including the office stroopwafel supply
