We host conferences in major cities around the world including Boston, New York, San Francisco, London, Tokyo, Kyiv, and Bangalore convening up to 5,000 attendees at each event. Data Science and AI are rapidly expanding and exciting fields, and we work with some of the top experts and companies in the world to provide unparalleled content and insights.
We are seeking an in-house Digital Marketing Expert who will help take ODSC online marketing campaigns to the next level.
Our Digital Marketing Expert is expected to be extremely technically adept in all aspects of social media and content marketing. Additionally, we need someone who is a fast learner, and excited about the opportunities that AI and data science present. ODSC generates incredibly high-quality content and insights for our community, and it is imperative that our Digital Marketing Expert can help promote the value of our events and online assets.
This position is for our Kendall Square office in Cambridge, MA at the world renowned Cambridge Innovation Center, and open to candidates who can commute there on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
Design, implement and track all b2b and b2c marketing campaigns driving sponsorship and ticket sales
Monitor and measure SEO/SEM, marketing, and sales performance metrics to forecast trends
Manage the process of generating engaging content for marketing materials including: landing pages, emails, sponsorship and attendees guides, web banners, etc.
Analyze campaign data to better understand customer behavior and optimize advertising budgets
Work closely with the sales and operations teams to understand and develop plans to support product specific / region specific opportunities
Communicate with all levels of the organization to ensure that marketing plans are clearly understood and that the brand vision and values/philosophy of ODSC are followed
Identify target growth opportunities and segments based on brand personality and opportunities
Drive the use of the latest technology to effectively deliver company messaging to target audiences, including mobile, video, social, gaming, search, real-time media buying, reputation optimization, metrics, original content, ad retargeting, SEO and SEM
Build and execute plans (on an ongoing basis) to generate targeted customer insights, and analyze insights to develop marketing personas
Establish company-wide best practices for digital marketing, and communicate with all levels of the organization to ensure that marketing plans and brand vision are well-documented (i.e. stylesheets), clearly understood, and consistently applied
Budget development and adherence for each marketing channel
Work out of our Kendall Square office in Cambridge MA and be present during the normal business day
Qualifications and Skills
Professional experience as a digital marketing strategist, digital marketing manager, or digital marketing consultant
Must have 3+ years professional experience - 2+ years of experience within a Tech industry strongly preferred
Demonstrate through prior experience your ability to create carefully crafed email marketing campaigns
Experience writing marketing content and blogs / articles (i.e. content marketing) is required
Must have proven success formulating and leading marketing strategies which resulted in incremental revenue and profit (preferably in a multi-brand environment)
Very strong SEO experience is a must, and demonstrated ability to work with Google Search Console, Adwords, and SEO optimization is very important
Must have experience creating and tracking campaigns in Facebook Ads, Google AdWords, AdRoll (Retargeting)
Must have a thorough understanding of Google Analytics and how to interpret the site data
Prior experience helping develop content and design for landing pages
Experience using hubspot and mailchimp is a plus
Hands on experience with online marketing tools and practices
Familiarity with web design and HTML
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and project management skills
BSc degree in Marketing, Advertising or relevant field
