As a Content Marketing Manager, you’ll support ezCater’s marketing objectives by writing, editing, and publishing high-quality, on-brand content to our Lunch Rush blog and ezCater marketing campaigns. You will strive to create content that meaningfully contributes to the journey to becoming an ezCater customer or catering partner, establishes ezCater as a catering thought leader, and eases the catering order process for customers. Your primary responsibilities will include editing all content marketing content, managing freelance writers, collaborating across the marketing team, developing editorial ideas and angles, and uncovering new formats and content channels that will increase our content marketing impact.

You will:

• Write, edit, and update content marketing assets. Editing work will include developmental editing, proofreading, and fact-checking.
• Ensure all content aligns with ezCater’s brand voice, messaging, and team and business goals.
• Manage a team of freelance writers, recruiting new writers as necessary.
• Collaborate with teams on their content needs. Turn requests and ideas into briefs that result in goal-oriented and on-brand content.
• Rely on performance data and competitive research to inform content development.
• Create the best possible user experience by partnering with the creative team on content visuals and design.
• Oversee content layout and publishing in our CMS (WordPress).
• Manage and deliver on editorial calendar deadlines. 

Please:

• Love writing and uncovering new ways to reach an audience with your work
• Have 5-7 years of experience as a content marketer, and a degree in English, Communications or Journalism
• Have an excellent command of the English language, experience with the Chicago Manual of Style
• Be comfortable working both cross-functionally and autonomously.
• Be detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Have experience in CMS publishing, preferably in WordPress
• Be knowledgeable about SEO best practices
• Have experience measuring content performance with platforms like Google Analytics
• Have experience recruiting and managing a team of freelancers
• Be kind, adaptable, and intellectually curious.
