Brand Copywriter
We're looking for an experienced Copywriter with brand management experience to bring our brand and mission to life across a wide variety of mediums.
As our Brand Copywriter, you will act as a creative stakeholder across the organization and use language to drive new business. You'll work closely with our Marketing, Product, Legal, Finance and Engineering teams to gather relevant information, and business requirements, collaborate and strengthen our brand voice, and bring creative solutions to market across the web, in our ads (offline and online) and in our product. This is a newly created position reporting to our Director of Marketing. This role is prefect for someone who has previously worked at B2C company, either in an agency or in-house capacity.
What You’ll Do
- Assisting with development of broad range of materials driven by your superior writing ability across multiple platforms, use cases and personas
- Managing the continued development and enhancement of brand guidelines - including narrative, voice, tone, and architecture - ensuring they are clear, actionable and effective for marketing communications
- Partnering closely with the Content Marketing team to create compelling, strategic copy, with the goal of reaching and engaging homeowners, creating awareness, educating stakeholders, and generating leads
- Creatively bringing to life various campaigns, while ensuring that all materials we produce are true to the product and consistent with our brand
- Partnering closely with Product and Design teams to create compelling copy that guides homeowners through Hometap's software products and sales process, clearly conveys complex messages, and increases conversions throughout the funnel
- Collaboration and information gathering across a broad range of stakeholders including marketing, design, product, legal, underwriting and engineering
- Researching and becoming an expert in the consumer finance industry, specifically within the home equity lending and investment space
- Working cross-functionally to plan, execute and track brand marketing initiatives and campaigns
What You Bring:
- 7-10 years experience, specifically with B2C copywriting environments, either agency or in-house
- Experience writing copy across web, ads, product, email and more
- Ability to use language effectively to drive business results
- Strong presentation skills
- Autonomous, ability to produce results with limited oversight
- Technical background not required, but ability to write technically
- A strong portfolio to support your work - required to be considered for this position
