Job Summary

Summary: Provide critical contract management support to Nuance’s Healthcare Legal department. Strong focus on managing (a) the requests for contracts and related legal documents to legal personnel and (b) the adminstration of contracts to final execution and activation. A secondary focus on negotiating commercial contracts, supporting our Sales team, and providing related contracting advice is possible, depending on the candidate’s prior experiences and skill set.

 

This position will report to Managing Attorney, Senior Legal Counsel, Nuance Healthcare.

 

Responsibilities:

•Interact with Legal staff, executive management, and support staff to arrange for execution of Healthcare sales agreements (which includes master agreements, amendments, orders, SOWs and related attachments).
•Understand contract workflow and work to streamline contract workflow.
•Process standard template agreements and orders through Nuance’s Contract Management System in place of an assigned attorney, assuring that each document complies with established guidelines before obtaining signature and releasing to customer.
•Maintain agreements in the Contract Management System according to established practices, including troubleshooting and assigning new agreements, sending documents for signature and activating agreements for processing.
•Participate in further development and maintenance of the Contract Management System.
•Prepare a variety of reports including the development of spreadsheets for tracking and documenting projects and budget purposes.
•Work closely in co-operation with revenue finance, sales and sales operations teams and various members of Nuance’s Healthcare business unit.
•Administer the internal knowledge database.
•Perform special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Number of Years of Work Experience: 2+

 

Required Skills:

•Proven track record of relevant on-the-job experience as outlined above.
•A highly motivated self-starter, with a strong work ethic and a demonstrated ability to analyze and apply basic software license provisions.
•The ability to work in fast paced and demanding environment, while balancing competing priorities, maintaining a high level of responsiveness, and delivering quality work under a tight timeline.
•Able to identify business and legal issues and risks.
•Excellent organizational skills, strong written and verbal skills.
•Strong individual contributor who enjoys working within a team environment.
•Proficiency in MS Office and ideally also Powerpoint and Excel, IT affinity.

 

Preferred Skills:

•Preferred experience with SalesForce.com, Apptus or similar contract management system.
•Familiarity with healthcare industry and/or terminology a plus.

 

Education: Associates degree (minimum requirement); BA or BS in Business or Management preferred.
