As an IT Support Technician, your primary area of responsibility will be installing, maintaining and troubleshooting PC workstation hardware and software, on-boarding new employees into the applicable software services, device setups and end user break/fix assistance. You will also be responsible for first line support for desktop and network printers and contacting third party vendors to arrange for repairs and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hands-on implementation of PC hardware and software.
  • Assist in the management of the desktop infrastructure, including enhancements, updates, system performance and security.
  • Troubleshooting and managing break/fix issues.
  • Administration of helpdesk ticketing, hardware and software inventory system.
  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot printers, scanner, desktop, hardware, video conferencing and software.
  • Provides help desk services to ensure network services and application availability to end-users.
  • Assists in the installation and maintenance of computer equipment and makes recommendations for enhancements to current systems and environments.
  • Manages and maintains hardware and software inventory using network based tools.
  • The understanding of security and best practices to ensure systems and network resources are secure from unauthorized users.
  • Conducts on-going software training sessions for end users.
  • Implement SAML/ G-Suite SSO with software services to improve on-boarding experience
  • Mobile device provisioning & support.
  • Initial printer, scanner and copier hardware and software troubleshooting and escalation to responsible third-party repair vendors.
  • Manage any 3rd party software or service providers.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
  • Administer software, network and phone system user adds/delete/changes.
  • Occasional after hour support and on-call support.

Education/Experience

  • Have a minimum of three years’ experience in a tech support environment and demonstrable skills and applicable experience with the following technologies:
  • PC and Mac workstation hardware and peripherals
  • Laptop hardware
  • Windows PC Operating Systems
  • G Suite (google aps)
  • Common applications, Oracle Java, Adobe Acrobat, Reader and Flash.
  • Active Directory user and computer account management
  • Network and desktop printers
  • Apple iOS and Android smartphones and tablets
  • Basic TCP\IP networking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable troubleshooting skills
  • Plus if you have Jira admin experience
  • Plus if you have any DEVOPS experience
