Office & Events Coordinator Intern
We are seeking an energetic, efficient, and versatile Office/Events Coordinator to join our fast-growing Business Operations team and take charge of our BRAND new first floor space in Cambridge. He or she will take initiative; he or she will: 1) act as our front-of-office brand ambassador and coordinator, 2) maintain and strengthen our expanding office culture, and 3) support business units with upcoming events, planning or administrative tasks.
What You'll Do:
- Act as Kensho's brand ambassador — as office coordinator, you will be in charge of reception and you are therefore our first and primary point of contact for visitors
- Foster a pleasant experience for all those who work out of Kensho's Cambridge office: maintain the office space, plan social events, and organize employee appreciation for birthdays, weddings, etc.
- Establish and improve administrative and operational processes
- Support our Office Manager, which may include processing expense reports, maintaining a copy of company receipts, reconciling company cash and credit card disbursements, and managing accounts payable & accounts receivable
- Provide ad hoc executive administrative support for team
- Coordinate onboarding of new hires
- Support event planning for company-wide outings and off-sites
- Be a coffee aficionado
Qualifications We're Looking For:
- Previous administrative support and/or executive assistant experience
- Previous startup experience or sincere interest in working at a startup
- An ability to think and plan ahead
- Some experience in basic organizational accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Product Suite as well as Google office apps
- College or university degree preferred
- International work and language experience is a plus!
- An understanding of web-based software and an interest in web-based technologies
