Soofa is the neighborhood news feed that connects a community with screens everyone can see and anyone can use.

We are looking for a Manufacturing & Field Engineer Co-Op to make our neighborhood news feeds even better by assembling mechanical/electronic parts in the lab, performing functional tests, and deploying and troubleshooting Soofa Signs in Greater Boston. The ideal candidate is a junior or senior undergrad who has already completed at least one co-op.

Quote from a current co-op:
"Working at Soofa has been great for me because it allowed me to explore different areas within a company and take on real responsibilities, building a strong work experience. Like many startups, working at Soofa includes taking on many different tasks, some of which are not precisely where I have the most experience, but that has helped me grow and learn how to manage different situations accordingly.

At Soofa, I have learned how to plan things and maximize time, understanding how to ask valuable questions. I’ve learned how to pay careful attention to detail and making sure things are perfect within resources that are sometimes limited.

Some of the cool projects I was involved with while at Soofa are designing a part for our product, automating the maintenance process, and setting up the means to track our inventory."

Soofa is for people with a shared stake in a special place. Join the movement!

An Insider's view of Soofa

How does your team reward individual success?

From gong rings to weekly shout outs, a Soofarian’s achievements are never kept quiet. Soofarians set quarterly goals and get support from the rest of their team to reach them. At Soofa, there is nothing better than having your hard work acknowledged by your fellow peers. Our company works hard, plays hard and we love a good reason to celebrate!

Kayla Zaylor

Operations Manager

What does your typical day look like?

I love that a lot of my work involves meeting with local government partners, attending neighborhood association or city council meetings, and going to conferences, or going out to new neighborhoods to find the best locations for our signs or oversee the installation of a new Sign and answer any questions curious passerbys might have.

Lyra Schweizer

Director of City Growth

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I was hired as an engineering intern, then into a full-time product manager role. Working with so many aspects of our org has helped me learn how to speak the language of every employee and department. I can speak up for resources I need to hit company goals, and I have ownership over our metrics—which enables and encourages me to get things done.

Charlotte Warne

Product Manager

What are some social events your company does?

Daily team exercises, team lunch and team stretches every Friday, monthly book clubs, birthday outings by zodiac sign, Whiskey Wednesdays, and annual skiing and island camping trips, to name a few.

Soofarians are special people. Spending time together both inside and outside our workspace has a profound effect on our culture.
