About this roll* (Responsibilities)
As Toast's Compliance Intern, you'll be an important part of the Toast Compliance team. You'll get to work with leaders across the company in a wide variety of matters including drafting and maintaining corporate policies and procedures, creating and managing internal testing programs, advising and consulting with internal teams on areas of risk, development and facilitation of critical risk reporting / communications, and providing general compliance support. Our goal will be to provide you with real-world experience in the compliance department of a rapidly growing technology / FinTech company.
This position has the potential to be in-office or remote depending on the intern’s preference / office reopening plans.

- Currently pursuing a law degree.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to consistently bring enthusiasm.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders throughout the business.
- Self-motivated, hard-working, and interested in making a difference.
- Be able to make our stakeholders feel listened to and support them with their needs.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and practiced in critical thinking.
- Prior experience in compliance, financial services, or in the software-related industry is a plus (but not required).
- Familiarity and experience with business tools (e.g. GoogleSuite, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Solutions-focused and demonstrates a willingness to test the status quo.
- No ego.
