We are looking for a passionate, driven Technical Recruiter to join our growing People Operations team and help take our startup to the next level. You will have your hands in all things recruiting for the engineering teams at Tulip, from sourcing top talent and attracting the right candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees. Our ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial team player who is tuned into trends and advances in technology and tech startups.

About the role and team

 

We’re planning to hire at least 50 people in the next 12 months. The Technical Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are attracting and hiring the best possible talent while growing a strong talent pipeline. Our People Operations team focuses on building a culture where people can do their best work. The team is small, dedicated, and works on all things "people" at Tulip. Your first mission will be to partner with our technical hiring managers to understand their growing teams' needs. Next, you will discover and manage excellent candidates through the recruiting process, source and headhunt for specific roles, dig into referral networks, and develop Tulips' presence at local events. You will grow tremendously as our team and our company scales.

  • Carry an excellent personal touch in your written and verbal communication

  • Love to establish links and meet new people

The job:

 

  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Assist in creation and nurturing of candidate pipelines
  • Source qualified candidates through online sources, professional platforms, social media and employees
  • Coordinate and assist with college recruiting initiatives
  • Arrange candidate interviews
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
  • Assist in evaluating applicants through their qualifications & job requirements
  • Track metrics of the recruiting and hiring process 
  • Set continuous improvement goals
  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
  • Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships 
  • Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”

 

Key Requirements:

 

  • 1+ years experience with technical recruiting
  • Previous experience in a People-oriented role (HR, psychology, social work, management, community building, etc) preferred 
  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship-building skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for tech startups
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to conduct interviews and assess candidates 
  • Ability to track metrics on hiring processes
