The Recruiter will play a key role on the People team at Indigo. Based in Boston, MA, this role will be responsible for recruiting roles based in Boston and other locations. The Boston office will be growing significantly in coming years, and this person will also have an opportunity to be part of one of the fastest growing startups in Boston.

Responsibilities

Successfully build the top of the funnel for open roles

  • Define and execute immediate strategies for sourcing strong candidates
  • Utilize strong and diverse network to find top talent from a wide range of sources
  • Screen and qualify candidates against clearly defined scorecard, presenting strong candidates to hiring managers
  • Nurture talented candidates regardless of whether the timing is right for a candidate to make a move

Manage excellent recruiting process, partnering with hiring managers and key stakeholders to gather detailed feedback to assess candidate fit for the role 

  • Understand Indigo’s overall recruiting process and learn to facilitate meetings as needed
  • Train hiring managers on Indigo recruiting method
  • Facilitate scorecard meetings to define role, demonstrating ability to lead room and guide discussion
  • Conduct thorough interviews and reference checks
  • Working closely with hiring managers and People Operations, ensure efficient process for offer letters and negotiations
  • Partner with hiring managers and key stakeholders to move candidates through the Indigo recruiting process efficiently without compromising top talent
  • Demonstrate proficient use of technology to get the most out of Indigo systems; Greenhouse ATS experience a plus
  • Partner with Finance to track hiring against budget

Ensure outstanding experience for candidates

  • Build immediate connection to candidates
  • Communicate frequently with candidates to ensure they understand where they are in the process
  • Collaborate with recruiting coordinators and interviewing team to create an excellent and personalized interview day experience for candidates 

Be a strategic partner to hiring managers

  • Build trust with hiring managers and demonstrate responsiveness, bias for action, and a clear understanding of recruiting needs
  • Have clear understanding of how recruiting needs fit into broader departmental or organizational needs and be a thought partner to hiring managers on recruiting strategy for open roles
  • Establish regular cadence for checking in with hiring managers
  • Create tools or systems for communicating status updates on a regular schedule so that hiring managers always understand the status of open roles
  • Partner with People Analytics team to understand key recruiting metrics and communicate with hiring managers, demonstrating ownership for filling metrics

Communicate Indigo’s story in a clear and compelling way that excites candidates

  • Learn the Indigo story, key elements of the talent brand proposition, and demonstrate strong ability to communicate the story and reasons to work at Indigo
  • Ensure any external recruiter partners know the Indigo story and are seen as an extension of the Indigo Recruiting team
  • Build Indigo talent brand for respective market; show demonstrated improvement in caliber of candidates applying to and hired by Indigo for specific market
  • Demonstrate strong character and dedication to Indigo’s mission and core values; “walk the walk”

 Qualifications:

  • 5+ (minimum) in a full cycle recruiting role at a fast-paced growth company, in the Boston market
  • Strong network and understanding of the professional community in the Boston area
  • Strong familiarity with Boston community and opportunities
  • Experience collaborating with local universities a plus
  • Proven track record with sourcing candidates from a variety of talent pools
  • Demonstrated passion for building talent brand in a growing organization
  • Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated record of achievement preferred

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
