People Operations Specialist

We are seeking a high energy People Operations Specialist who thrives working on a diverse set of responsibilities, in a dynamic environment with a collaborative and caring team This opportunity is a steppingstone into other areas of the People function. We are looking for an operationally savvy individual who is able to learn our business, get to know our people, and make sure our HR processes and the employee experience are amazing.

Main Responsibilities

Operate as “Super Admin” for all HR systems:

  • Involvement in systems implementations, integrations, process improvements and new functionality
  • Collect user feedback and put forward process improvements
  • Build reports to support HR and other functions’ reporting & analytics needs
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Create dashboards, reporting and analysis on various business KPIs and compliance requirements, as required and upon request from various stakeholders (HR, IT, Finance, Functional Leaders)
  • Manage compliance issues and help ensure Lightmatter is meeting compliance requirements
  • Manage HR vendor relationships including oversight of contracts, procurement, billing processes in coordination with Finance
  • Act as liaison with third party payroll and benefits administrators to support employees
  • Manage new employee onboarding, working closely with hiring managers, to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the company
  • Work with HR team to research, implement and manage rewards and recognition programs that support our culture and values
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to administer employee engagement surveys, track action plans, and provide insight on trends
  • Assist with compensation benchmarking and participation in surveys
  • Support the team with the rollout and execution of HR programs and events
  • Identify and promote ways to up level processes and improve efficiency to deliver best-in-class employee experience
  • Manage content and resources on Lightmatter’s intranet to enable easy access to HR and Culture related information for all employees
  • Coordinate immigration cases for existing and new employees with HRBPs
  • Help ensure a high-quality employee experience from the time a candidate accepts an offer through their time at Lightmatter
  • Support employee engagement and training initiatives (and lend your creativity to keep employees engaged)
  • Assist in the development, improvement, and documentation of internal human resources policies and other employee communications

Requirements


  • 2-5 years’ experience in HR or business operations setting
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with systems administration; HRIS a plus
  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable using data to drive insights and decisions
  • A very high level of attention to detail
