Buoy is a series-A funded health-tech company using artificial intelligence to help people find the right care at the right time. Started by a team of doctors and computer scientists working at the Harvard Innovation Laboratory in Boston MA, Buoy was developed in direct response to the downward spiral we’ve all faced when we attempt to self-diagnose our symptoms online. Buoy leverages artificial intelligence – powered by advanced machine learning and proprietary granular data - to resemble an exchange you would have with your favorite doctor – to provide consumers with a real-time, accurate analysis of their symptoms and help them easily and quickly embark on the right path to getting better. Buoy is based in Boston and was founded in 2014.

Job Description

Buoy is looking for a Lead Recruiter to bring talented people into the Buoy organization. Reporting to the Head of People, this person will be in charge of talent acquisition - from sourcing to interviewing. This person will be the first point of contact for all possible candidates, and therefore they must fully embody the Buoy culture. The right person will be a strategic thinker who is willing to roll up their sleeves in the short term, but hungry to develop, grow, and manage the talent acquisition organization as Buoy grows.

In a typical week you may…

-- Drive Buoy’s talent acquisition strategy to address both the short term and long term talent needs

-- Constantly iterate to create the best interview process possible

-- Perform and facilitate various forms of interviews

-- Find different and creative ways to recruit talent - whether that’s uniquely written job postings, social recruiting events, networking or new ways we haven’t even thought of!

-- Work with the Head of People to smoothly transition a candidate from prospect to interviewee to hire-- Represent the Buoy brand in the community of Boston and New York

-- Infuse the Buoy culture into the entire recruiting process, ensuring candidates understand our culture and believe in the mission from the moment they interact with Buoy

Minimum Qualifications

-- You are a people person and have great interpersonal skills. The idea of talking to people all day long excites you!

-- You have at least 4 years of experience recruiting with a proven track record of success

-- You are creative and willing to try unconventional methods to get the Buoy brand out in the marketplace

-- You have a passion for developing talent and can see the potential in people. More than once in your life someone has told you that you just “get” people

Preferred Qualifications

-- You have experience working with recruiting software such as Lever

-- You have experience recruiting technical roles (such as software engineers, devops engineers and other development type roles)
