Markforged is growing at an exponential rate and we’re looking for a highly-motivated and experienced Director of Talent Acquisition with startup experience to lead our Talent Acquisition team, reporting into the Head of People Operations. We are 270 people today and looking to double in size over the next 18 months. As a trusted business partner, you will craft the hiring strategy behind attracting, assessing, and hiring top talent. In this role, you will partner with leadership across the organization to understand the needs of their department and hiring goals for 2019 and beyond.

With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, the Director of Talent Acquisition will assess current tools, evaluate interview protocols and build a repeatable process that positions Markforged for hyper-growth. In this role you will:

  • Develop the vision, strategy and plan for Talent Acquisition at Markforged
  • Build and grow a high performing talent acquisition team. We have one in house recruiter and budget to hire up to 4 more recruiters in 2019. You will get the opportunity to build your team.
  • Implement operational practices that ensure our hiring model becomes predictable and can meet our business growth objectives
  • Collaborate with leadership and People team on workforce planning and prioritization
  • Partner with department heads to advise on recruiting and hiring practicesGuide the successful execution of recruitment programs (i.e., employment branding, employee referrals, etc.)
  • Create and drive diversity & inclusion strategies
  • Manage KPIs to ensure that the team’s processes and performance are running efficiently and/or improving over time
  • Maximize value of current applicant tracking system (Lever) and guide the strategy for systems improvements as we scale
  • Continuously innovate and look for new and creative ways to attract and select talent
  • Partner with onboarding team to ensure a seamless candidate to new hire experience

  • 3+ years of recruiting leadership experience preferably in a rapid growth environment
  • Desire, drive and ambition to make an impact and get results
  • Proven success in hiring, managing and retaining a diverse team of high performing recruiters
  • An inspirational leader with the operational chops and desire to run a core business operation
  • Someone with the ability to remain calm and poised under pressure
  • An exceptional relationship builder. Someone who will easily integrate and partner with key stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
  • Someone who can leave their ego at the door. A team player whose primary desire is to achieve success together as a team.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
