Director, People Analytics & Experience

Description

The Director, Global People Analytics & Experience will report to the VP of Total Rewards, and will be part of a group that supports many of the HR and People Operations functions. This is a new role, which will be critical in establishing the center of excellence in People Experience & People Engagement, and will continuing to drive our journey into People Analytics.

Having global reach, this role will interact with internal clients in all geographies where TripAdvisor has employees. The person that fills this role will be an external through leader. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have considerable expertise in Human Resources, People Analytics and/or Organizational Psychology.
  • Have a proven record working with senior leaders in metric mapping, performing advanced analytical analysis and presenting results in a compelling way.
  • Possess a passion for enabling thoughtful & meaningful experiences.
  • Be an innovative thought leader that is willing to get their hands dirty with execution as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for programs, policies, people and process related to People Analytics, Experience management and Engagement.
  • Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives related to People Analytics, Experience and Engagement.
  • Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
  • Participates in development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people
  • Accountable for final decisions relative to administrative and operational issues affecting sector - and in some cases - corporate-wide activities.
  • Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods
  • Apply wide-ranging experience in people research, quantitative analysis, data science, and data visualization to help TripAdvisor recruit, select, grow, and retain talent
  • See beyond the data to identify solutions that will raise the bar for all things people-related
  • Partner with the HR and recruiting teams on people projects to identify and clarify people issues, deeply understand our people processes, and analyze data to drive improvements
  • Responsible for all Project management, design and delivery for and People Analytics, Experience and Engagement.
  • Partner with the People Team Centers of Excellence (HR Business Partners, Compensation, Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development) and other stakeholders (executives, managers, & Employees to identify needs for people Analytics research studies.
  • Leverages independent judgement in obtaining superior results


Required Skills/Abilities

  • A. / B.S. with Masters preferred in industrial/organizational psychology
  • 12+ Years' professional experience, preferably in the HR domain with reporting, analytics, survey management, Engagement management and/or Experiential management
  • Superior analytical skills including problem solving, attention to detail and clear communication of complex analysis
  • Mastery level Business Acumen; able to understand the business and are able to influence at the most senior levels
  • Superior Consulting skills; can define the right business problems, manage complexities and affect change.
  • Broad based Experience with Journey management, employee experience management, and engagement management.
  • Excellent Communication skills; can tell stories, engage people and inspire action.
  • Understands corporate politics.
  • Masterly level knowledge with Python and R
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities and able to effectively tell a story with data
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels within the organization
  • Superior detail orientation, organization, and analytical skills
  • Thrive on simultaneously managing multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growing environment with minimal supervision
  • Works hard, but can laugh and have fun in the process
