Corvus is looking to add a VP, Underwriting Smart D&O + Cyber to our team. This is a newly-created role where you will drive strategic and tactical initiatives as we continue experiencing rocket ship growth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Chief Underwriting Officer to develop a business plan and underwriting guidelines for one of the next insurance products at Corvus - Smart D&O + Cyber; this insurance product combines traditional Directors & Officer coverage with the Smart Cyber capabilities of Corvus including the production of our data analytics reports that we call Dynamic Loss Prevention reports. 
• Develop existing and new wholesale and retail insurance brokerage and Corvus
• Recruit and manage a team of underwriters and assistant underwriters nationally
• Develop data sources and risk scores with our data science and engineering teams using historical and real-time data from our proprietary cyber security database and vendors
• Work with risk capital partners to further Corvus’ D&O underwriting strategy

Qualifications

• Eight years or more of underwriting commercial D&O Insurance
• Advanced technical expertise and knowledge of underwriting principles, practices and procedures 
• Relationships with major brokers that produce opportunities in the D&O market 
• A desire to work with a fast-growing InsurTech innovator in Cyber Insurance
• Exceptional verbal and visual communication skills 
• Willingness to travel nationally to major cities
• Strong retail and wholesale broker relationships nationally
