The Team
Our team works to support large scale relationship management of existing and future Third Party Administrators and other companies that MassMutual does business with. We are accountable for service and administration of several operational support functions. We ensure overall effectiveness of the relationship(s) ensuring the desired outcomes are achieved. The Impact:
As a Strategic Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for governance, strategy, relationship and performance management, contract management and risk management for your clients. As such, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Oversight and continued refinement of a comprehensive governance framework to promote the discipline of Supplier Management by defining and communicating policy, standards and best practices
- Effectuating a cadence of business reviews with a focus on mutual candor driven by performance scorecards aligned to business goals
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to define the business case for successful negotiations and outcomes, assist in the definition and implementation of Service Level Agreements, Service Level Objectives, and overall governance processes
- Working in partnership with internal business partners as needed in identifying and mitigating business risks
- Enhance relationship and performance management of strategic partners
- Foster internal relationships with key business stakeholders
- Define, measure, and improve Key Performance Indicators, Metrics, and Service Level Agreements in a standardized scorecard
- Assist in contract management by working closely with Procurement, Legal and Supplier Relationship Managers in defining the Business Case, SLAs, KPIs and ongoing governance
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing dynamics within an evolutionary process and team; it should be expected that a degree of ambiguity is a part of the job, embrace it and work with us to better shape standard practices that will deliver consistency in oversight and management practices
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience in a large corporate environment
- 7+ years of experience in an account management, relationships management, or people management position
- 7+ years of experience with Business Case development, Planning and Analysis for Cost Transparency, and Vendor Cost Optimization
- Demonstrated ability to understand and manage technical requirements and processes
- Strong individual leader with ability to build and inspire teams and develop relationships with multiple stakeholder groups to drive adoption and deliver expected benefits
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills
- Demonstrated financial acumen
- Experience with facilitating the review and sign-off of various contractual agreements/arrangements
- Experience managing compliance and regulatory matters
- Experience with enterprise continuity planning
The Ideal Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 10+ years of experience in Financial Services
- 10+ years of experience with Business Case development, Planning and Analysis for Cost Transparency, and Vendor Cost Optimization
- Demonstrated Program Management experience and deliver complex projects using effective planning, pragmatic approaches, and collaboration, despite obstacles and ambiguity
- Experience working with Reinsurance agreements/arrangements
