PatientPing is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for processing monthly billings/invoices for our customers, answering customer invoice questions, processing accounts payable, depositing checks, process payroll, reviewing expense reports, closing the books, and preparing account reconciliations. You would be responsible for designing and implementing internal accounting processes. You will play a key role establishing a control environment that will ensure the accuracy of the company’s financial statements. This role will look for ways to shorten the close process. An ideal candidate will be an accountant that is cognizant of deadlines, finding ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting team, can work independently, and would possess an ability to navigate complex business questions in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do:
•Prepare customer’s monthly invoices
•Answering customer queries regarding invoices
•Process vendor invoices for payment
•Review expense reports for proper documentation
•Prepare journal entries
•Supporting the month end close process
•Prepare account reconciliations
•Deposit customer checks
•Respond to PatientPing associates in a timely manner
•Help develop process and procedures to improve efficiencies and to enhance financial controls
•Other duties as identified
What Success Looks Like:
In 3 months, you will be acclimated to your new surroundings. Performing day to day activities up to speed and asking questions. Being inquisitive and learning as much as you can about your new role. Do not be afraid to ask why and how you are doing things. You will be performing G/L account reconciliations for review.
In 6 months, you will be more comfortable in your role. The ability to navigate to your cohorts for questions that you will have to ask. Provide meaningful analysis to the account reconciliations. Investigate unusual items and find the answers. You will be deeply involved in the close process and you will feel comfortable operating NetSuite.
In 12 months, you will be at full speed with your responsibilities. You will identify inefficiencies in our processes and recommend changes. You will take on more responsibilities as you and the company grows.
What You Need:
•2+ years of progressive experience in a corporate accounting environment
•A bachelor degree preferably with a major in accounting.
•Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with fellow associates
•Demonstrated ability to make good judgements in challenging situations with limited or imperfect information
•Self-starter with great attention to detail, and ability to work quickly to meet tight deadlines
