Staff Accountant
As a Staff Accountant your role is to provide assistance to the Controller and Finance team in completion of month end close, external audit support, as well as other cross-functional opportunities to partner with departments within Drift. This role requires the ability to resolve questions on the fly and the ability to juggle through different scenarios. Your customers are both internal and external. You will work on projects independently and be ready to keep up with change in processes day to day. We are looking for a quick learner who is capable of grasping and retaining information in a high volume transactional environment that is constantly changing.
What you’ll be doing on the finance team at Drift:
- Setting up new vendors and entering of vendor invoices into our ERP
- Review and validate Corporate Credit Card and Expense Report receipts
- Prepare and record month end journal entries across various general ledger accounts
- Assist with validation of accounting information for use in implementation of new ERP
- Take initiative and identify areas of improvement in accounts payable and balance sheet reconciliations process to accelerate month end close and improve reporting efficiency
- Assist with preparation and support for annual external audits
- Support ad hoc projects as requested from other members of the Finance team

- You know when something is over your head and are not afraid to ask for help. You are skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly
- Super strong attention to detail
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to rapidly-changing environments and work with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting
- 1-2 years of experience at either Big 4 public accounting firm or fast-paced internal accounting function
Bonus
- Experience with Financial ERPs (Netsuite, Quickbooks)
- Masters Degree and/or licensed CPA
