Stable Value Investment Operations Consultant
The Opportunity:
We're looking for a highly self-motivated team member with a background in investment operations to join a growing and dynamic business as a Stable Value Investment Operations Consultant. As a Stable Value Investment Operations Consultant in our Stable Value Investment Only (SVIO) team, you'll be responsible for the daily operations, trading/contract reconciliation tasks, trade wires and resolving any operational issues. You'll have the ability to create, modify and document procedures and work with a collaborative team to solve complex problems, as well as the opportunity to support new product development.?You should be solution oriented, have a can do mind set to help solve day to day operations issues that arise and anticipate production issues and support each other in a team setting.

The Stable Value team consists of Operations and Business Consultants as well as Institutional Relationship Managers. The Stable Value Investment Operations consultant would be a member of the operations team supporting day-today activities of the Stable Value Investment Only (SVIO) business. This dedicated business team supports all activities associated with the growing business with support from our extended team in Actuarial, Law, Investment Operations, and Finance. The team responds effectively to business needs and provide world class service to our business partners and clients.
The Impact:
As the Stable Value Investment Operations Consultant, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
- Support the day-to-day activities of the Stable Value Investment Only (SVIO) Team that is now growing and maintaining a $31B book of business representing 200+ contracts.
- Serve as a point of contact for contract inquiries from business partners including stable value managers, external third-party record-keepers and external auditors.
- Supports the daily trading, account reconciliation and administrative needs of all our business partners.
- Familiarity with DTCC and National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) that provides industry standard trading, clearing and settlement practices with external third-party record-keepers and other types of firms.
- Work closely with our internal Fund Operations, the current transfer agent and new internal systems to establish new client accounts that includes collecting relevant client, product and contract information.
- Monthly ensure rate reset data is entered into the administrative systems and produce any required unit values necessary to trade with external record-keepers. Distribute data to the appropriate external parties as necessary
- Produce and distribute monthly reports, rate reset notices, fee statements and annual 5500 reporting for stable value investment only clients.
- Monthly process and coordinate any contract fee assessments.
- Handles projects or work with defined scope in own discipline and typically has a short-term focus.
- Look to identify gaps in processes and procedures with an ability to make recommendations for improvements.
The Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma
- 8+ years of investment operations experience
- Experience in supporting daily trading, account reconciliation, and administrative tasks
- Working knowledge of DTCC and National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC)
- Back-office or transfer-agency experience with a stable value business or other types of investment products
- Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products (primarily Excel and Access)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly collaborative team player with extraordinary attention to detail
The Ideal Qualifications:
- 10+ years of investment operations experience
- Bachelor's Degree
