The Senior Tax Analyst is a key member of the finance team, who will be heavily involved in supporting the compliance and tax strategy for the company. In addition to tax, this individual will also be involved in the treasury and risk management functions of the company. The Senior Tax Analyst will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company that is leading to new challenges and considerations. This person will also have the ability to work on projects to help shape the future direction of the department’s strategy.
This role requires a highly organized and motivated individual who will work closely with other individuals from many areas of the company. The successful applicant for this position will have a strong understanding of tax as well as a willingness to learn and develop skills in new areas.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with the preparation of the ASC740 quarterly and annual tax provisions, footnote disclosures and provide support to external audit teams
- Coordinate timely filings of quarterly and yearly tax requirement for Federal, State, and International purposes
- Ensure tax SOX controls and procedures are adequate and properly updated
- Assist with various tax projects including transfer pricing and tax structuring
- Coordinate tax studies between external providers and internal stakeholders
- Assist with responding to inquiries from tax authorities in connection to tax audits and notices when appropriate
- Support filing of Sales and Use Tax in the US as well as international filing requirements (e.g. VAT)
- Assist with tax technology, process and system improvement initiatives
- Support Director in other areas of responsibility including Treasury and Corporate Risk Management
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, Master’s/CPA a plus
- 3-5 years’ experience in taxSelf-driven and ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working independently and remaining organized
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to present ideas clearly and effectively
- Strong team spirit and ability to work well with outside providers
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and different levels within the organization
- Strong organization skills and ability to accomplish numerous projects within deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical and ability to work well on projects requiring detailed analysis as well as high-level strategy
- Strong computer software skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, tax provision software, Alteryx and Tableau highly desirable to support and improve existing processes as well as new changes to business
