Job Summary

Summary: The Corporate Finance team at Nuance is seeking a Bookings Sr. Financial Analyst in our Burlington office to manage our Bookings metric, including Bookings Policies, Valuations, Approvals, Close, Controls, and Reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Booking Policies – Maintain bookings policy guide with CFO, CAO and SVP, Finance and provide support to sales organization as questions come up about booking policies.
• Booking Valuations – Manage booking valuation and approval process with Sales, Order Management, Business Unit Finance; analyzing and documenting a valuation thesis for all variable use deals. 
• Booking Close and Controls – Partner with Sales Operations, Order Management, and IT to develop a bookings capture process and control environment to ensure accuracy of bookings reporting and metrics. Manage the monthly close process.
• Bookings Reporting - Partner with IT and Business Unit Finance to develop a bookings and bookings to revenue conversion reporting environment to support decisions and analysis throughout the company.

Number of Years of Work Experience: 3-5

Required Skills:

• Initiative, intelligence, strong attention to detail, and integrity in striving for continuous improvement is absolutely essential to the success of this role
• Advanced Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Smartview, Hyperion Essbase, Oracle, Salesforce.com or comparable CRM system, and Excel Modeling skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to listen and interpret the requirements of internal clients, plan accordingly and exceed expectations as well as deliver well-prepared, substantive, focused presentations to senior management
• Ability to establish rapport, develop strong partnerships and maintain trust with senior level sales, finance and division leadership 
• Strong hands-on experience in complex financial modeling, problem solving, analysis and planning
• Willingness to dig deep into details as well as the ability to assess the big picture
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting. Advanced degree and/or certification (MBA, MSF, MSA, CFA, CPA) preferred
