Senior Accountant - Special Projects

The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager - Systems & Projects, and is responsible for assisting with the accounting and planning related to the integration of international acquisitions, ensuring GAAP compliance, identifying control risks, and helping with overall project management activities. This is a challenging, highly visible role that requires problem solving and the ability to understand complex transactions and processes.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Partner with finance, operations, and IT to identify financial reporting requirements and successfully integrate new entities into our core processes and financial systems
- Provide accounting support to the organization for special projects, reporting, international acquisitions, and analysis as necessary
- Identify opportunities for efficiency throughout the Accounting organization by implementing automation and/or process improvements
- Assist in testing financial system changes and enhancements; create and maintain appropriate project documentation for training and audit purposes
- Communicate with internal and external audit partners to support compliance efforts
- Understand various service/product offerings to ensure proper reporting and financial system configuration
- Support the core GL team and the Financial Systems team by assisting with daily activities and month-end tasks as necessary
- Effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate with varying levels of employees and management to drive sound business decisions
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- 3+ years of relevant experience, financial reporting experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP)
- Experience integrating international entities/ acquisitions
- Experience with inter-company transactions and consolidations
- Knowledge of cloud-based ERP/financial systems
- Attention to detail and goal oriented
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Experience with NetSuite
- Experience with automation and/or ERP enhancement projects
- Experience with accounting/financial reporting at a SaaS company
- Experience with financial reporting for business unit/segment
