Reporting to our VP Controller, this newly created position will play a key leadership role in scaling our accounting operations. As Manager of Payroll, you will be responsible for building and leading our Payroll Teams with a goal of delivering high quality and timely service to our business partners.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Build and lead a high performing Payroll team. You will ensure the teams are properly trained and provide leadership to enhance performance, quality and productivity
• Review the current state of T&E and Payroll – and identify and implement improvements
• Implement and report (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on key metrics to monitor, manage and improve quality and efficiency
• You will set targets and execute against those targets with a thoughtful plan.
• Responsible for ensuring the payroll cycle and off cycle transactions are processed accurately and timely
• Responsible for ensuring travel expenses are properly coded, expenses are in compliance with our T&E policy, and that expense reports are submitted by our employees timely
• Review and approve all journal entries, wires, off cycle checks.
• Develop strong relationships with key suppliers and work to resolve issues and improve transparency
• Develop and communicate SLA’s to our business partners for each function and monitor and report against these goals

QUALIFICATIONS:

• You have a BS/BA degree, accounting degree a plus
• 4-5 years of managing Payroll and T&E
• You have a strong focus on customer service.
• You have inventory experience, including 3-way matching, RTV (return to vendor) processes, resolving price and quantity discrepancies.
• You have excellent organization skills and the ability to handle multiple competing tasks simultaneously.
• You are highly skilled in Excel.
• You have a solid understanding of basic accounting (e.g. accruals, fixed assets, prepaids)
• You possess excellent communications skills – both verbal and written.
• You have meticulous attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
